A world first with 70 meter working height

28/07/2020 | The new F-70 LTK work platform, a world first in lifting technology, recently brought the Felbermayr operating personnel and two employees of a cleaning company up into the air. In doing so, a long-standing cooperation partner benefited from the flexibility as well as the maximum working height of 70 metres and all this with a total vehicle length of less than twelve metres. At the beginning of July 2020, the entire façade of an office building, consisting mainly of glass, was cleaned with this vehicle. The location of the event was the Upper Austrian capital Linz.

Unique height access technology

Thanks to the 500° swivel range and the large, telescopic work platform, this height access equipment offers the user significant added value. Compared to the machines currently available on the market and the F-63 LTK 'little sister' with its working height of 63 metres, the F-70 LTK has a full seven metres more working height for the same overall length. "This makes it much easier to plan and carry out operations such as these," explains Otto Ratzinger from the platforms department. In addition, more efficient work processes are guaranteed for the customer. "In the past, cranes with work baskets were used for operations like these, but these were not as flexible and stable as the F-70 LTK," comments Ratzinger.  The F-70 LTK is operated by the trained operating personnel from Felbermayr, and two additional persons can go along to assist with the work. This ultimately also results in time and cost savings. In addition, the maximum load capacity of 600 kilograms is also noteworthy.

Work platforms and crane hire

With over 2,800 height access devices available for hire, Felbermayr is optimally equipped for all applications. It is not only the large selection of cranes, work platforms and lift trucks that make the company unique in lifting technology. Mini-cranes perform indispensable work on sensitive floors thanks to their rubber crawler chassis and optional white chains. Truck-mounted platforms reach working heights of more than 100 metres, but telescopic platforms and scissor lifts are also reliable devices for safe work at heights for many applications. The F-103 LTK truck-mounted platform is particularly well-suited for this. With a working height of 103 metres and a maximum load capacity of 600 kilograms, it is the highest platform in the world. But the lifting technology specialists from Felbermayr are also known for individual project planning, trained operating personnel and the assignment of a direct point of contact. In this way, every customer is offered the best possible on-site support and execution.
