When it comes to sustainability, a circular economy is also very important to Felbermayr and the company recycles any waste produced in order to keep the consumption of resources as low as possible. Materials such as asphalt and construction rubble are salvaged, for example in the form of brick and concrete materials.
Environmentally sound disposal is of particular importance for all materials that cannot be recycled. Waste such as asphalt, fiber cement and concrete as well as excavated earth and soil, but also construction waste in general, is accepted at our construction waste landfill. Compliance with the highest environmental standards is ensured by ongoing internal controls and official inspections.
Currently, around 60,000 tonnes of top quality recycled material are processed into secondary raw materials at the plant every year.
Further to operating modern plants that have additional measures to prevent dust and noise emissions, Felbermayr is also CE-certified.
