Road Transportation

Felbermayr started out with heavy goods transportation and special goods transportation as early as the 70s. Nowadays, this logistics service is an essential part of the services offered by a heavy load transportation specialist. From transformers to large industrial fractionating columns, from parts for wind power generation to the largest power plant components – nothing is too heavy for us. So far, Felbermayr has transported goods weighing up to 1000 tons each and with overall dimensions of 130 metres in length by 10 metres in width all over Europe by road.

Prerequisites for the implementation of such machinery transportation are experienced employees and state-of-the-art technical equipment. For this reason, Felbermayr maintains constant contact with vehicle manufacturers to make sure experience made in everyday operation is being incorporated into the next generation of transport equipment. Felbermayr operates a wide range of special articulated lorries with up to four axles and engines putting out some 800 hp. All types of trailer skips, articulated lorries and low loaders, heavy goods as well as about 300 "heavy axle lines” are available for the transportation business. A so-called self propelled modular transporter (SPMT) allows us to overcome even the most challenging geometrical circumstances and steepest inclines with over-sized cargoes.
