FELBERMAYR GROUP: CHANGE IN THE GENERAL MANAGEMENT OF BEST LOGISTICS
April 16, 2024 | Lucia Reinsprecht
Best Logistics was founded by Andreas Häfner in 2000 and has since become firmly established on the Polish market as a specialised provider of customised logistics services for moving oversized loads. The company fills a gap in the market as a link between business partners in Poland and Western Europe. The core business of the Polish Felbermayr subsidiary involves the organisation of transport, transshipment as well as on-site assembly of heavy and oversized goods throughout Poland, Europe and worldwide.
"We would like to thank Mr Häfner for his exceptional commitment. His foresight made it possible to establish a provider offering outstanding service quality on the Polish market. In line with his vision, our aim is to continue developing and to demonstrate that we are a strong partner for Polish and international customers in project logistics," explains Peter Stöttinger, who took over the general management of Best Logistics alongside Monika Foryś when Mr Häfner left the company. The 51-year-old Stöttinger is able to look back on a long career in the transport industry.
The qualified economist has been working for the transport and lifting technology specialist Felbermayr, which is active in 17 European countries, since 1991. Following the completion of his studies, he headed the project department from 2005 to 2010 prior to being nominated Managing Director of Felbermayr Transport and Lifting Technology in 2010. Stöttinger has since played a key role in the company's success and enjoys an excellent network in the industry.
Management continuity to be upheld
Monika Foryś also paid homage to Andreas Häfner's lifetime achievements and thanked him for his trust in her. Best Logistics' reputation as a qualified and solid partner on the Polish market today is, in the opinion of Monika Foryś, a "result of Andreas Häfner's good management and vision". Her aim is therefore to hold this position "by offering good, high-quality logistics services," she emphasises. In doing so, the 41-year-old has already known the company since she launched her professional career and her 17-year tenure at Best Logistics qualifies her for the position of Managing Director.
Foryśś completed her engineering degree at the Maritime University in Szczecin. Her thesis on the "transport of abnormal and oversized loads" was completed utilising information from the company. Foryś's career at Best Logistics has since progressed from assistant in the forwarding department to scheduling and assistant to the Management Board. Foryś was most recently not only responsible for the management of projects in the forwarding division, but was also an authorised signatory.
Andreas Häfner is delighted to know that the successor has been taken care of in his own company: "I am convinced that the new general management will ensure a considerable degree of continuity and that the market position achieved by Best Logistics can be further improved."
