Felbermayr work platforms for Bulgaria
October 3, 2023 | Lucia Reinsprecht
Felbermayr established itself in Bulgaria back in 2007 with a branch in Haskovo, around a hundred kilometres south-east of Plovdiv. The main reason for Felbermayr's success in Bulgaria was the division manager Valentin Radev, who retired this year.
With the acquisition of the Maritzer Group, based in Plovdiv, an important new orientation has now come about for Felbermayr's development in the south-eastern European region. The two managing directors of the new Felbermayr subsidiary, Yordan Georgiev and Angel Yankov, are taking over the agendas of Radev and his team. The site in Haskovo recently relocated to Plovdiv.
Felbermayr work platform rental in the industrial centre of Bulgaria
To ensure that customers have the right access equipment available to them, in addition to the usual wide range of cranes, the development of the industrial centre in the heart of south-eastern Europe also marks the start of the rental of Felbermayr work platforms in Bulgaria. For Peter Stöttinger, Managing Director of Transport and Lifting Technology at Felbermayr, the city is the ideal starting point for the launch of the new business field in the region. As he explains, "Plovdiv is an up-and-coming industrial city in the centre of south-eastern Europe and is therefore also extremely attractive as a starting point for the platform division."
Alongside Bulgaria's capital Sofia, Plovdiv is a link in important international transport routes; for example, three of the ten pan-European transport corridors run through the country's second largest city. It is also one of the oldest cities in the world, European Capital of Culture 2019 and - thanks to economically attractive conditions - a top investment destination in the European Union. Numerous large companies, such as Liebherr and KTM, have sites around the up-and-coming economic and industrial centre.
Work platforms and lift trucks for commercial customers
A good environment for growth, and one that Felbermayr is also keen to support as a rental company for cranes, platforms and telehandlers. Stöttinger explains Felbermayr's ambitions in Bulgaria, stating that the aim is to offer a point of contact to commercial customers who value first-class rental equipment and service.
Thanks to Felbermayr's commitment, customers will now have access to telehandlers, scissors platforms and articulated and telescopic work platforms with working heights of up to 43 metres at the Plovdiv site, in addition to around a dozen cranes with lifting capacities of up to 250 tonnes.
