Markus Hilgarth strengthens management at Felbermayr Bau

After completing his technical training, Markus Hilgarth began his career at a national construction company as a project and division manager. Hilgarth then worked as managing director for a regional construction company. As a trained builder with property developer certification, Hilgarth repositioned the company, which specializes primarily in building construction.
For proven civil engineering expert and construction managing director Bernhard Strasser, Hilgarth has ideal conditions, both professionally and personally, to complete the technical management with building construction skills. “Together with Rainer Traunwieser as commercial managing director, the best conditions have been created to keep the Construction division on the road to success,” adds CEO Horst Felbermayr and is pleased that Hilgarth has been won over for the position.
Broad range of responsibilities in construction
In his new role, the 57-year-old at Felbermayr is specifically responsible for the areas of building, industrial and power plant construction, including acoustic construction, the newly created general contractor department, Felbermayr Wasserbau and the subsidiaries Domarin, Erlenbacher Schiffswerft and Casawest. “At Felbermayr, the different areas work together under a common sky blue roof and are perfectly intertwined. This creates real strength, and we want to expand this cooperation even more specifically in the future,” Hilgarth emphasizes.
Clear goals with a focus on employees and collaboration
Hilgarth attaches great importance to an open and accessible management culture. He sees himself as a direct point of contact for employees and would like to actively promote personal exchange. “The education and training of our employees is a key success factor for me. I particularly appreciate the handshake quality and the high level of competence of the employees,” says the native of Buchkirchen.

Hilgarth's strong market position in construction and the entrepreneurial diversity of the Felbermayr Group were decisive for Hilgarth's move to Felbermayr. In addition to the combination and interplay of the individual areas, he sees the newly created “General Contractor” department as pioneering.
