Vision, goal and reality for heavylift logistics in the North Sea
Felbermayr Transport- und Hebetechnik is an internationally active company specializing in heavylift logistics. As such, we already operate multimodal heavylift terminals in Antwerp, Krefeld on the Rhine, Linz on the Danube, and Vienna's Alberner Hafen. Our goal is now to offer this service in the Port of Hamburg with a heavylift hub.
Therefore, we are pooling our expertise with the terminal operator C.Steinweg. Together, we want to establish a heavylift hub in Hamburg. This will enable heavylift logistics to be handled efficiently, safely, in a future-oriented, and sustainable manner. The goal: to develop Hamburg as a leading location for heavylift logistics and strengthen it for the future.

Together, we want to offer efficient and customized solutions for heavylift transport, heavylift storage, and logistics. Our customers also benefit from optimal handling and storage capacities as well as assembly areas in one of Europe's largest seaports.

Our services focus on the planning and execution of national and international heavy transports, a modern warehouse with approximately 10,000 square meters of hall space, and modern assembly areas for the pre- and final assembly of large-scale systems. This includes approximately 10,000 square meters of heated hall space with direct connections to rail, road, and waterway transport. With customized solutions for machinery, industrial equipment, and heavylift components of all kinds, we ensure fast processing. This is made possible, among other things, by crane and lifting technology, intermediate storage, transshipment coordination, and container packaging for the heaviest loads. In addition, our service portfolio also includes customs clearance and documentation.
