On 9th November, Felbermayr joined the disaster relief network for Upper Austria. This network was founded two years ago by the Upper Austrian military and, thanks to the addition of Felbermayr, is now made up of six partner companies. Its purpose is to provide the Austrian armed forces with services, equipment and personnel free of charge when needed to cover any shortcomings in these areas.

"So many of our fellow countrymen volunteer for the emergency services and we at Felbermayr, a family-run business, are also acutely aware of our responsibility to help as best we can," stated DI Horst Felbermayr about his company's joining the disaster relief network in Upper Austria.

The network aims to cover any shortfalls in technical equipment at reasonable expense in the event of natural disasters. Major General Kurt Raffetseder commented that Felbermayr's lifting platforms, cranes and means of transport will eliminate a serious deficit in the network, which now comprises six different companies.

The voluntary agreement was concluded at a ceremony with a performance show on the premises of the Felbermayr subsidiary in Linz. Practical demonstrations of numerous different pieces of equipment allowed the other partners in the network to build a clear picture of Felbermayr's technical capabilities. The presentation included the world's highest truck platform, which has a maximum working height of 103 metres.
