Hagn Umwelttechnik and Domarin celebrate new headquarters

In order to make even better use of synergy effects, a modern office building with a hall and workshop was realised in just six months of construction, thanks to the collaboration of the Felbermayr real estate team and Hagn Umwelttechnik. "At Felbermayr, we rely on close cooperation within the company group. With the construction of a joint company headquarters in Osterhofen, we were able to unite our two specialists in the fields of environmental technology and hydraulic engineering under one roof," says Managing Director of Felbermayr Construction Stefan Hielle, delighted with the official completion of the construction project.
Felbermayr specialists for environmental technology, hydraulic engineering and shipbuilding
At a total of five sites in Germany, Hagn Umwelttechnik, which has been part of the Felbermayr Group since 2012, offers services in landfill, hydraulic engineering, concrete and specialised civil engineering, as well as diving work for industry. The core business of the certified waste management company includes the recycling and disposal of contaminated materials in accordance with the strictest requirements.
From the execution of earthworks and analysis in its own laboratory to the installation of sheet pile walls and steel girders, the specialist for environmental construction measures offers a comprehensive range of services for building works, landfill and road construction. Specially equipped and trained industrial divers are available at Hagn Umwelttechnik for technical underwater operations, such as the functional testing of sewage treatment plants or sewers.
Since May 2022, Domarin Tief-, Wasserbau und Schifffahrtsgesellschaft has also been operating under the umbrella of the Felbermayr Group. With around 50 floating units such as push-boats, dredger pontoons, push barges and cable excavators, Domarin is active in the maintenance and upkeep of waterways in Germany and Austria. Experienced employees make it possible to handle the entire range of services from civil engineering and hydraulic engineering work to dredging, revetment work, lighterage, and lifting and recovery work in the event of accidents.
The Domarin Group is completed by the Erlenbach shipyard. Thanks to the slipway of over 100 metres, it is capable of repairing the common ship sizes on the Main and Danube as well as the company's own fleet. New ship and pontoon constructions are also planned and realised on site according to the customer's wishes.
Attractive workplace, quick decision-making
The division managers of Hagn Umwelttechnik and Domarin Tief-, Wasserbau und Schifffahrtsgesellschaft Sandro Schieck and Jörg Hesselink are in full agreement: The new state-of-the-art company premises are an investment in the future of both companies and contribute to better cooperation as well as the recruitment of employees. "Both the office and the workshop are equipped with state-of-the-art technology," Schick reports and adds: "The new building assures our existing employees that we are investing in our future and at the same time offers an attractive workplace."
"We are looking forward to working in the new, bright offices and we will benefit enormously from the optimised processes and short decision-making paths in the future," says Hesselink from Domarin.
Before the move to the new headquarters, Hagn Umwelttechnik managed its business from a rented site in Hengersberg and Domarin Tief-, Wasserbau und Schifffahrtsgesellschaft from the Vilshofen site.
Situated on a total plot encompassing 10,500 square metres in Osterhofen, Hagn Umwelttechnik and Domarin Tief-, Wasserbau und Schifffahrtsgesellschaft have access to 1,000 square metres of office space, a 1,500 square metre hall with workshop and extensive open space of over 8,000 square metres.
